A pair of real female Stag Beetles "floats" on Sterling Silver French hooks in these unique earrings. Species Lamprima adolphinae from Indonesia. You won't see it from the front, but the beetles are attached to a silver feather on their back side. The beetles have been coated with clear acrylic, which will make them more durable. They can get wet, they can be exposed to plenty of sunlight, and the wings are glued shut. The only thing that will really destroy these is crushing.....so don't step on them, and you'll be fine! :)
These ladies are just about an inch tall, and are better looking in person, due to the glossy finish getting in the way of my photos! They are lovely metallic shades of forest green with maroon/rust colored highlights. They look quite red in the right light. These are extremely lightweight; you'd hardly notice you're wearing them, if it weren't for the compliments you receive!
Comes in a gift box with care instructions. Shipping is via USPS First Class Mail, unless you make other arrangements with me.
