This is an interesting leather. It's almost like patent leather - stiffer then most of my leather. The leather does scuff, but I think it adds charm to the journal. The size (6 x 4.5) is perfect for tucking into a purse or backpack.
The 120 pages (240 if you count both sides) consist of white 124 gsm weight paper that has a good tooth for writing or sketching.
The pages have been hand sewn with red waxed Irish bookbinding thread and the journal opens flat so every inch of paper can be used.
A matching strap holds everything together (with velcro). The bookmark has been sewn to the cover and has a DREAM charm.
