Ballpoint "twist style" pen
This is a a real .50 caliber bullet cartridge ballpoint pen. I polished the brass casing with some of the world's best metal polish. Keep in mind though, this was a real bullet and was actually fired once so it will have a few minor scratches even after a through polishing. This in my opinion is what most people are looking for because it adds to the uniqueness of the pen.
The 50 caliber shell was first made for machine guns by Browning. Due to the high ballistic coefficient of the bullet, the .50 BMG's trajectory also suffers less "drift" from cross-winds than smaller and lighter calibers, making the .50 BMG a good choice for high-powered sniper rifles. There were many wars the in which the 50 cal bullet was used: WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Cambodian Civil War, Falklands war, Gulf War, War on Terror, and the Iraq War. The bullet definitely has a rich history.
The tip of this bullet pen is handcrafted with Blue Lapis which was hand shaped by me on my lathe. It is lapis tru stone which is real stone that has been powdered and mixed with a small amount of pen resin so it has structural integrity and can be shaped on a lathe. It was hand cut, shaped, and polished. This pen takes a cross ballpoint refill which is very easy to find. This is a great gift idea for hunters, outdoorsmen, military personnel, or any enthusiast of weapons.
