This comprehensive Cookbook, published by the Culinary Arts Institute is the 1958 edition. It's in good condition (apparently not used on a regular basis!) The color of the book cover and the color illustrations are typical 1950's. Very interesting to page through, it reflects a time where luncheons were social events. How many of the 2000 facts about food are you aware of? They're all here! There are dinner menus suggested for each month of the year, with page numbers noted to find the specific recipes. It's in encyclopedic form making it easy to find just what you're looking for. No rips or tears and the binding is in good shape. The edges of the bottom pages are mottled - mildew staining. This is a HEAVY book. If you don't cook from it, it looks great on a shelf or to read how much meal preparation has changed over the past 50 years!
