Information I found on the internet states that Freeman McFarlin was founded by Gerald McFarlin and Maynard Anthony Freeman. Gerald McFarlin operated McFarlin Potteries in El Monte California for many years. Maynard Anthony Freeman joined him after WWII, and they became Freeman McFarlin. Maynard Anthony Freeman was exactly what this pottery needed. He transformed their line, which was mostly small, cute, whimiscal animal figurines, into something wonderful. His designs were amazing. His animal figurines were large pieces that made a real statement, and must have caused quite a buzz at the time. His Anthony signature is commonly found on pieces he designed.
Please note that most of the items at MDL are thought to be vintage finds, and as such I suspect they have had a colorful life before making it to my shop. You should expect some signs of age and wear.
