This flip-top USMC pocket lighter was made in Japan, probably during the 1960s. There is a makers trade mark on the base of the case, though I can't identify the company it belongs to. The brushed chrome case features a circular U.S. Marine Corps crest on the front face. The handsome, copper appliqué features a brass eagle in high relief, accented with red and blue enamel. This Zippo is great-looking: no obvious scratches, dents or dings, just a bit of surface wear to the chrome plating. And it is in perfect working condition, suitable for daily use. I've installed a new Zippo wick, repacked the fuel chamber, brushed the file wheel, and cleaned char/soot from the windguard to ensure this vintage USMC windproof lighter both works reliably and looks its best. It will be shipped with a new Zippo flint and without fluid. (If you plan to only display this lighter, please remove the flint so it does not deteriorate and become impacted over time.) I've provided high quality photos to offer the best preview of this collectible Zippo. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.
