This is hemp baby blanket that can be used as a receiving blanket or swaddle blanket. This organic baby blanket measures 27 x 29 inches (69 x 74 cm). The edges are finished with teal and grey overlock stitching. This is a perfect size to use as a swaddle blanket to mimic the womb during your baby's first few months. This would make a great gift for a baby shower!

This fabric is super soft and organic. It is a knit fabric, so it is slightly stretchy. One side is fuzzy, while the other is a knit and looks like a t-shirt. It is a medium thickness. The slight stretch will help with tighter swaddle wrapping.

CARE:
machine or hand wash on warm. Avoid bleach, softeners, or added odors. Use an eco-friendly detergent. Dry by machine or hang to dry. Fabric has been pre-washed on hot twice and dried on hot once. Allow for minimal shrinkage. The blanket will soften with use.

WHY HEMP?
Hemp is durable, renewable, biodegradable, breathable, and when combined with organic cotton creates a beautiful blend.

WHY ORGANIC COTTON?
-The seeds are not treated with GMOs, fungicides or insecticides.
-The ground it is grown on does not rely on heavy irrigation, which is wasteful. The crops are rotated and farmers rely on organic matter for fertilizers. Non-organic farms rely on chemical fertilizers.
-Organic crops are harvested naturally by freezing temperatures or water. Conventional crops are forced to harvest by the use of harmful chemicals.
-Organic fibers are stabilized during manufacturing with natural corn starch. Conventional crops rely on toxic waxes.
-To whiten organic fabrics, peroxide is used. Conventional crops use chlorine bleach, which releases harmful bi-products into the environment.
There are many other reasons, this is about half of the list. Consider your impact!
