Made by me (Kat) from heavy duty jeans fabric with a top of upholstery fabric. The seams are serged and stitched, and two pockets have been applied to the front.
The bottom is flat and the bag will almost stand up by itself.
This tote is machine washable and dryable on warm. Studies show that even hand-washing will remove almost 100% of contaminants left on reusable bags.
The so-called 'reusable' bags at the grocery store are still made from polypropylene (what a fancy word for plastic......), are non-woven (like compressed fiber batting), and are mostly made in China. If you ever tried to wash one.....well, I'm sure you can guess what happens.

"Anja & Kat: Hats and Bags" is what I'm doing when I need a break from sewing diaper covers.
They have been selling in the gift shop at Vista House/Crown Point in the Columbia River Gorge
for a few years now, and some of them are for sale in Oregon City at "You Can Leave Your Hat On", a custom hat-store featured in 'The Oregonian' Newspaper in November 2012.
My friend Anja gets bored sometimes, so she helps with the hats. I can't possibly leave her out of it !
You can read in the decription who made the item - I love the way she puts beads on her hats :) :)
We believe that everybody should be able to afford a one-of-a-kind, high quality hand-made hat, scarf or bag without having to go into debt. Our items are affordable, yet still individual and unique. We never make the same item twice.
