MARKINGS: The necklace is signed on the back of the pendant Trifari and Aldo Cipullo. The earrings with the dangles are the Richelieu and the button style are the Dauplaise. I did some research on this famous Italian designer and was able to obtain the following information via the internet: Aldo Cipullo was born in Italy. He studied as an apprentice both in his native country and in the United States (including Tiffany Co.) before his career led him to Trifari. Many talented designers have worked for Trifari. Cipullo was commissioned by Trifari during the late 1970’s through mid 1980’s and designed many sought after pieces. He is most famous for his iconic Love Bracelet in 1969, which was designed for Cartier.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The necklace measures 16" long from end to end including the fold over clasp. The modernistic pearl pendant part in the center measures approximately 1 1/8" x 1". It is suspended by a double row of 8mm pearls. The metal is a polished gold tone on both the clasp and the pendant portion. The dangling pair of earrings compliment it nicely. They are clips and the bottom portion resembles a sea shell. They measure 1 ¾” x 1”. The large button earrings are screw backs. They measure 1” in diameter.
CONDITION: The necklace is in excellent condition with no discoloring or wear to the pearls or metal. I did not see any nicks or chips in the nacre of the pearls either. The dangle earrings are in like new condition as well. There is some light wear to the backs of the button style earrings but no nicks or chips in these pearls.
