This is an easy crochet pattern for amigurumi turtle, perfect for beginners and those who are just starting out. The instructions make it simple to get started – all you need is some basic understanding of crochet stitches and materials. To make your own turtle you should be familiar with the following stitches and techniques: a magic ring, crocheting in the round, single crochet stitch (sc), single crochet increase, invisible single crochet decrease (sc2tog), fastening off with invisible join, weaving in yarn ends and joining pieces together. For the hat, you'll need to use half double crochet (hdc) and double crochet (dc) stitches.
All body parts are crocheted in spiral rounds without joining.
Language: The pattern is available in English (US crochet terms), German, and Spanish. After the purchase, the pattern will be available as an instant download in all three languages so you can choose your preferred one.
Format: PDF document containing 8 pages of detailed instructions accompanied by 19 images illustrating the process.
Finished size: The pattern works well with any type of yarn, and the size of your finished turtle will depend on the yarn and crochet hook you use. If using worsted weight yarn and an F hook, the amigurumi turtle will be 8" (20.5 cm) tall. If using sport-weight yarn and a 2 mm hook, the turtle will be 5" (12.5 cm) tall.
Skill level: Miss Turtle is an easy to follow, beginner-friendly pattern.
