Quilting is an American folk art and, as ssuch, many techniques are handed down and passed along through the generations. Here is a fine example of our treasured history.Another beautiful hand quilted, all cotton calico and muslin quilt. From a northern Wisconsin woodland estate, this quilt was reported to be a wedding gift in 1975. The design is one that often comes from the woodland Iroquois of Canada and the US. The radiant star is central to some of their folklore. This quilt is in superb condition and fairly large. It was custom made to fit a waterbed back in the day. The details and the color are absolutely stunning! The star radiates endlessly. On the reverse, the quilting reveals patterns of trees and flowers. A true heirloom treasure.
