This Great Horned Owl is just taking off from his perch to go hunting. Watch out for those talons – they’re sharp! He is life-sized, and would have a wingspan of 42" (3.5 feet) if his wings were outstretched. Every twist and bend was done by hand from 18 gauge galvanized (dark gray) steel wire. It is signed in wire “rj08,” for ruth jensen and the year. The bleached walnut stump is included if the owl is picked up in person; otherwise, a perch that allows his tail to reach below his talons must be provided. The owl's talons are wired to two small screw eyes in the stump. Please convo me for any more pictures and/or information you desire.

The owl itself is approximately 24" tall x 20" deep x 32" wide. The stump is about 13.5" tall x 7" deep x 9.5" wide (it has an oval, rather than a round, shape).

PLEASE NOTE that because of its size, this sculpture is offered for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, unless you convo me to arrange [extremely expensive - over $300] shipping.
