This original mixed media work of plums blooming in the Japanese spring is a combination of linocut for the trees and frame and hand painted watercolour for the flowers with ink pen detail. It has been made with Holbein block printing inks, Kusakabe artists' watercolours and Pilot drawing ink on handmade kozowashi from Saitama Prefecture. It is dated and signed by the artist 2008.
The image measures 9" x 5 1/2" or 23cms x 15cms with 2 inches (5 cms) of margin for easy framing.
