This work is from my series entitled “Nature\/Human\/Nature” which examines our relationship to nature and asks us to remember that we are nature, and what we do to the earths body we do to ourselves, and vice versa.
This work is called "Sacred Spiral". It examines patterns that repeat in nature, such as spirals, and the fractal like dendrite shapes of branches, capillaries , and rivers. There is a heart hidden in the center of the thickest part of the branch, drawing parallels between the circulatory system of the earth and our own bodies.
