It ships with a 75-watt equivalent compact fluorescent. Do not use conventional bulbs; they get hot enough to damage/burn/melt the cone if there's nowhere for the heat to escape.
A fun, playful addition to any room. Kids especially seem to love it. Casts a warm, orange/red glow.
