From Mudgoddess
My masks are created from life mask molds that I cast from models, friends or family. Earthenware clay is pressed into these hand made molds. The mask is decorated with clay, glazes slips and oxides. The surfaces are decorated with my designs that are inspired by indigenous tribal body decoration from around the world. These masks are life size approximately 8"x6" and are ready to hang on the wall with two nails or picture hangers. Each mask is created individually and is an original piece of art.
