This ostrich egg lamp will captivate you as it glows with pinpoints of light. I carved lots of wee holes into this real ostrich egg!

I then cut a larger hole in the base so that the egg sits flat and I hid a battery operated night light inside that flickers just like a candle. You get all the charm of a candle and none of the mess. : )

I painstakingly clean all of the interior membrane out of the egg so that it will shine cleanly and uniformly when lit from within.

This could be used as a centerpiece on a beautifully set table, at a wedding, on a mantel in a baby's room, or anywhere you want to add some magic.

The second pic is one that a happy customer sent me to show the replacement eggs I carved for his lamp. Please note, this listing is only for one egg.

The egg measures about 6 inches tall (about 15.5 cms). The lustre on the egg is natural and will never fade.

The egg shown here has already been sold but I can carve another one just for you.

The ostrich egg shells I use come from a farm in South Africa and are unfertilized so no ostrich chicks were harmed when the eggs were gathered.

The egg lamp will be sent in a box inside a very sturdy box lined with polystyrene to add strength. I have shipped eggs across the world so yours will be safe in its journey to you!
