I made this kitcshy globe bowl using all upcycled materials!
I used half of a broken globe, a vintage 1970 map book, and part of a cake stand--all thrifted or found materials!
I decoupaged the inside of the globe with the map book, added the cake stand part as the base and--voila! a bowl featuring the southern hemisphere on the outside and the United States on the inside!

The inside and outside are covered in several coats of sealer, and should withstand wiping down.
The base is secured on with glue and a bolt.
I don't think this bowl would be appropriate for anything wet or something you'd eat--but it sure is neato!
Let me know if you have any questions...
thanks for looking!
