The new leaves appear bright green in the early spring as rain clouds loom on the horizon. This small image measures 15cms x 10cms or 6" x 4" and I have used Japanese Sakura woodblock printing ink for the monotype and Kusakabe watercolours for the colour on handmade paper from the Jionji Press, a local washi workshop. To give strength to the paper and improve framing options, I have collaged the paper with artists' grade adhesive on to heavier handmade washi and this measures 24cms x 28cms or 9.5" x 11".
This original work is signed and dated 2008 and will come with a certifcate of authenticity. It will be sent by Japan Post registered mail signed delivery, expect 6 to 10 days delivery worldwide.
