Landscape 1

This original painting is one of a new series called, quite simply, the Landscape Series. These little paintings are more a play of color and organic marks rather than actual field studies. I grew up roaming around the fields that surrounded our home and watching the same, simple horizon change in color and contrast throughout the day. Each color combination left it's mark within my memory and that is what I called on when making this series.
