Hatpins were an indispensable aide to the Edwardian lady, being both functional and decorative (and a great personal protection device).The style was for immense hats requiring an appropriate hatpin to keep them properly in place - this hatpin will do the job. It is hand beaded using a pattern first printed in a 1912 publication,and is approximately 11" in length. The decorative end is 1 5/8" across and is slightly domed.
