This quilt was made with one of my favorite and most challenging patterns-the Mariner's compass. I have made a few of these in smaller quilts, but I wanted a bed sized one and this one is the result. The pattern is from a M'Liss Rae Hawley book on Mariner's Compass. I chose the different elements of the quilt from the book and combined them in my own way. I wanted to express springtime on the Northwest coast in my design choices. As always the quilt is made of 100% fabric and batting. It measures 64"x80".
All quilts are machine washable and can be dried in the dryer. Use a gentle soap and gentle cycle. The Warm and Natural batting gives the quilt a soft, slightly bumpy surface and makes the quilt drape beautifully. I have pets in my home, so I wash all my quilted items before sending them to you.
