Hats were the fashion item of the day up until the late 1960s and don't forget those little gloves! This one is actually very wearable I think.
This is such a fun hat or head piece from the 1950's or 1960's as all the hats I recently found were from the same woman and most are 50s era. This one is beautiful in a firm velvet circular frame with a bow in the back and a ring of soft shiny black mink fur. The open top is netted and the netting falls over the upper face so daintily. This hat has no tags and the condition is excellent. I see one break in the netting on the top crown but two loops of fine thread would repair it easily if need be. This hat has been well cared for.
