Have you ever seen a zebra in a red fur coat? I love the image on the cover of this journal!
Part of my Rebound Journal series, the covers are from a vintage book “Jokes and How to Tell Them” by Larry Adler (1963). The jokes in this book would now be considered politically incorrect, but I’ve given the covers new life with this journal, so you can write your own jokes (or anything else that pleases you) here if you like. Most of the materials in this journal have been recycled. This book was lovingly disassembled to allow the linen bookcloth to be reglued over the spine edge so there are no raw edges on the covers. Covers are lined with a decorative red paper. This journal is Coptic bound with black waxed linen thread allowing it to lie perfectly flat when open.
The covers are in very good condition, with one small dent on the top of the front cover visible in the second photo.
The inside is filled with a generous 140 pages (counting both sides), of sturdy printer’s layout paper, slightly heavier than bond paper. All pages have one blank side with light blue layout lines on the other. These in no way affect the space you have to write in, and add to the charm of the book. Each section of pages is wrapped with red paper, adding an energy and more useable pages if you like.
This journal measures 21.5 x 13.5 cm (8.5 x 5.5”).
This listing is for the journal only; the pencil crayons are not included.
