The jar is heavy glass, painted red, with swirl marks on the sides in two places. The lid is red metal with a printed and embossed cardboard insert and a silver tone metal flower for a handle. The top of the lid has a band of gold with embossed flowers and an interior ring of red with winding gold vines.
This jar is in good condition. It has no chips but does have a few places where the paint has scratched off, particularly on the bottom. The lid has a small amount of wear to the red metal and some damage to the surface on the gold area of the lid. The Avon label is gone.
