It all started with a dramatic gold-edged shell bead I snagged from Sharon's stash at Thanksgiving. As I was rearranging my bead drawers, I rediscovered some creamy, rich shell beads. Aha!
Sandy Shores continues my recent ocean themed necklaces. The shell focal came from India where a local craftsperson hand painted a thick glittering gold edge. The flat oval shell beads have colors ranging from dark cream to blush white. The bronze glass beads contrast the natural tones of the shells.
Sandy Shores measures 19 inches plus the 2 1/4 inch gold adorned seashell. The necklace is finished with a gold-filled toggle clasp that has a wrapped rope look. The matching shell earrings measure 1 1/2 inches.
