This set is hand sewn using hand dyed felt for their body as well as their pixie hats. Each process has been embroidered on their tummies. All gnomes are made using a small wooden base with a hole underneath and they can also be use as a puppet. The wool felt has been glued first onto the wooden base and then hand sewed. They are sturdy and can take robust handling. They each stand at 11.5 cm (4 1\/2 inches) tall.
They are made for all of the children in our little Steiner School in Class One here in Australia to use in their Math's Main lesson. The children are taught the Four processes with lovely crystals in storytelling. The stories are available and I can direct you to a few of them.
The whole set will come to you in an handmade hand dyed wool felt pouch.
NB: They will become an Heirloom and something very dear and precious to your child for years to come...
I can also make a teacher's set, (custom order), or if you are homeschooling, which would be full scale and will stand at around 14 inches tall or 36 cm from the top of their pixie caps to the tip of their toes. If you are interested, please convo me for a quote.
