This quilt was a queen size. The body of the quilt has 9 patch blocks set on point. The alternate blocks, also set on point, have needle turn applique hearts. The background fabric is a tone on tone off white. All of the other fabrics are from the little outfits she sent me. ( 2 huge boxes full!)The nine patches and sashing are hand quilted in a stitch in the ditch pattern. The heart blocks are shadow quilted by hand, too.
The borders feature hand quilted hearts and embellishments from the outfits on the tone on tone background fabric. Scattered about are more needle turn appliqued hearts, too. Across the hem is a row of little hearts set on point. The binding is attached by machine. It is hand rolled and hand sewn to the back of the quilt.
Please forgive the photos. They were taken before our digital camera. By the time we noticed the pics were bad, the quilt was on it's way.
If you like Kim's idea or just the pattern, I'd LOVE to make one for you, too! It can be made from wall hanging size to King. Please contact me regarding the price for the size you'd like.
This quilt has a time line for finishing of 9-12 months, depending on size.
