24 Petal Silver/ 18ct gold Brooch

This striking brooch is part of Barbara`s collection of brooches which are flat silver flower shapes which have been composed, photo etched and layered in certain particular ways. This brooch is made up with 2 different main layers of 0.7mm sheet silver - both sharing the same outline shape. The shape of the flower, the petals and the pattern designs within petals have all been designed and composed using cad techniques. There are 24 petals in total, with every third one having a different pattern. These designs have been photo etched into the silver and then enamelled with fresh contemporary colours. The top layer which is lightly satinised then frames the petals of the bottom layer. An 18ct gold flower is added with a semi precious stone to set the arrangement off. This brooch measures 4.8cm in diameter. A sure contemporary statement.
