The swimming suit has a softly rounded neckline, moderate back height. Lime green straps have button adjustments at the back with three button holes. Nipped waist with attached lime green cord belt, self tie. Flared to the hem with a super short romper style overlay in the patterned fabric. White metal "Talon" brand zipper up the back center.Built in bra support with elastic along the front under- breast area, quilted cups are gently padded with flexible boning forming a cross along the upper points- none is visible as the suit is fully lined in lime cotton, the bra beneath both layers of fabric. Beautifully constructed, the lining follows the seaming of the suit. Covered elastic leg holes in lime green lining, a bit shorter than the overlay patterned fabric. Condition is excellent, super clean throughout, no holes or damage. A tiny bit of discoloration along the top edge of the piping along the neckline, barely noticable but worth mentioning.
The matching cover-up is sleeveless with an eight button front. Buttons are domed and covered in lime green cotton. Boat neckline, high armholes, slightly darted chest, fullest at the hips. Falls to abover the knees. Lime green piping along the neckline, armholes and 7.25" long side seam slits- additional cording at the tops of the slits for bow detail. Condition is very good overall, there is some slight brownish staining along the front placket between the second and fourth buttons, just a bit shadowy and darker along some sections of the aqua and lime dots, see photos. Otherwise excellent, no other issues to report.
An amazing vintage swim costume- perfect for photo shoots, retro themed parties, for collectors, costumers and stylists, etc. A true piece of fashion history in a wonderful mid- century modern pattern- it doesn't get any better than this!
