Cascade was created for the Etsy Beadweaver's May 2009 challenge, themed "Hollywood Red Carpet Creations." I wanted to create something classy and elegant, while still standing out from the crowd, for this challenge.
Cascade is 17.5 inches (45 cm) from the clasp to the bottom of the fringe. The center portion is 2 inches (5 cm) across, and solid. A brown focal bead folds the wide strip in half, creating a unique dimensionality to the piece. The clasp is a herringbone toggle and beaded loop. Each side of the necklace is 9 inches (23 cm) from the clasp to the top of the wide strip, where the sides meet in a v.
This piece was woven with 8 lb fireline for extra strength and durability.
