BELUGA WHALE (Delphinapterus Leucas) A toothed whale related to the Narwhal. Length 13-18 ft.. Weight 1- 1 1/2 tons. Keeps mainly to the edges of the Artic ice fields. Very vocal emitting clicks, squeaks, mews, hums and whistles giving it the nickname sea canary. Feeds on fish, mollusks, & crustaceans. Calf is born dark gray at birth & white by age 5 years of age. At birth it is the same size as my 5 ft. Wooden Beluga.
Hand carved on both sides.

Wooden base is 10" x 3.5" x 3/4"
Hand painted with exterior paint, oil based stain and an antique finish.
