A Polonaise gown was considered a "day dress" and was won by women of all classes. The gown consists of a bodice and attached pleated overskirt which can be bustled for numerous looks. This Polonaise gown has attached linen cording under the overskirt meant to bustle it in the polonaise style.
This garment has a lot of hand sewing detail, which exactly resemble the museum collections. 2 buttons adorn the back where the linen loops hook around to Polonaise the gown. The gown can also be bustled from underneath
The sleeves are elbow length and come with detachable pinked ruffles of the same gown material and natural linen. The bodice and sleeves will be lined with linen and constructed in the proper historical manor. The bodice buttons up the front with 12 self covered wooden buttons.
