This is a large oval river rock that I have created into a unique 3-d work of art. The painted rock has a black background with streamers of rainbow colors. This make a beautiful home or office conversation piece. The stone can be rotated in different directions to present a variety of faces, as your mood dictates. The photographs show the front side and the back side, of the stone, in the different positions that you can display it. This is OOAK, One-of-a-Kind, you will own the only one.
This artwork is Ishi Stone #23, of the "Streamers" series. It is approximately, 7" wide x 9&3/8" long x 1&1/4" at its' thickest. It has the natural stone as its' background, a dyed black bold design shape, and multi-colored "streamers", in the primary colors of red, yellow, blue, and green, on one side, and the softer colors of turquoise, lavenders, and pinks on the reverse side, all in satin finish. My painting medium is acrylic paint and acrylic dye. I use acrylic varnish to seal the stone. I sign my work "DMIshi" (DM are my initials, and the word" Ishi" means rock or stone, in japanese), with the copyright symbol, the date, and the code for the name of the design, in this case "ST" for Streamers, and 23 for the number of the stone. There is a clear white acrylic easel, for the Ishi to be displayed on.
