The Ever-Moving Island, 2008

This photograph was taken in North Carolina on an island by a house that was built and buried soon after by the ever-moving sands and heavy winds. I stopped to pee on a road trip, went around a sand dune and there it was! My husband took the photograph as I took its photograph. I was pregnant with Søren.
