It is hose clamp mounted with a heavy duty toggle switch underneath that makes a good solid click! I also make these to hang below the bars with the switch on top. They are sealed with clear lacquer.
I also like to do these with the can raw and in the elements for a bit so they get a layer of rust. Then I cover them with clear lacquer to seal the rusty can look. This is one exapmle. I also use Hershey syrup cans and any of the Campbells soup can. They are a real head turner.
