This is one of a series of 5 shawls I made. I started by measuring a warp in white cotton, then hand painted the yarn with Procion dyes. This is the "Lantana Blossom" colorway, a gorgeous combination of yellow, orange, and pink that looks just like the riot of lantana flowers I have blooming in my side yard. After the dyes cured and set, I warped up my floor loom and wove the shawls.

Finished size is just over 6' long by 3'wide, in a rectangular shape. On me, that hits down below my lower back, with the fringe on the ends hanging down to mid thigh. It is light weight, and snuggly to the touch. Great for those evenings when there is a slight chill in the air!

The shawl is cotton, so it is washable. However, I would recommend hand washing with little agitation, so the fringe doesn't get tangled up.
