"ON THE SAVANNAH"
QUILTED WALLHANGING OR LAP QUILT

This landscape scene is done in a bargello style. I used fabrics that remind me of the Savannah of Africa, where millions of herd animals live. Here you see a scene of zebra, calmly eating and resting. Above them the blue sky, and below them the plains.
The quilt back is a sage green. I have bound it in the same deep olive green that is used in the scene. I also added a hanging sleeve to the back so it can easily be hung with a decorative rod.
I longarm custom machine quilted it, using appropriate color threads and stitch designs for each section.
100% cotton fabrics
Hobb Heirloom batting 80% cotton/20% polyester
