"Tea Rose Garden Party" was inspired by the sweet little tea set that I found at a tag sale. I knew immediately that I wanted to incorporate it into a bead woven necklace. I took the set to my friend Beckey at Dragonshire Glass in Grinnell, IA and she ground the back of each piece flat. I wanted this piece to evoke a lovely summer day with teatime in the garden. The techniques used in making "Tea Rose Garden Party" include peyote stitch, spiral rope, bead embroidery and netting. The necklace is 18" long.

"Tea Rose Garden Party" was recently featured in the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta 2009, a biennial, juried fiber arts show. It won best in it's division, Best-in-Show and was featured on the event posters.

This jewelry creation is a signed original and contains upcycled/recycled/repurposed elements. It is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind.
