This piece has lots of red and oranges-- glass, sponge coral, porcelain, red agate, carnelian and amber-- some brown horn and African brass and some faux black cinnabar.
The coral is a great color and the carnelian and red agate are raw and wonderful! The horn and brass are some of my favorites from my current stash.
Cinnabar has an interesting story, it was basically layers and layers of laquer that the Chinese carved into fantastic beads, but true cinnabar has mercury in it so they don't make those anymore.
The colors and textures make a glorious necklace that is sure to garner compliments!
