:: applique made of vintage 1930s polka dot cotton and upcycled pieces for an old Guatemalan huipil (the traditional blouse worn by Guatemalan women, hand-woven on a backstrap loom)
Now the small child you love can fill their own bag with the wonderful treasures they find along their way ~ an acorn, a few rocks, a baby doll. The little girl in the photo is 2 1/2 years old & is holding a bag of the same size in the same fabric.
This bag is made from an amazing sturdy organic cotton canvas in bright yellow with a herringbone pattern. It's lined in white organic cotton duck to give it stability and durability. I carefully cut and embroidered the owl applique onto the bag by hand, not by machine, to give it beautiful texture. This bag is best gently washed by hand or spot cleaned.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece and is ready to ship. I will make other organic bags in the same theme, but they will never be the same as this one.
