Maybe it's not EVERYday we attend such an engagement, but these spats will definitely add that touch of fun and fancy to your day, and your wardrobe.
Fluffy banana cream-colored Italian wool knitted up nicely. Bright white lace from Boxtreasures.etsy.com makes for dainty lace ruffles and trim along the sides. I ran a sweetpea-green silk thread through the smaller lace, and also embroidered two little clovers, each accented with a pale pink freshwater pearl.
The spats slip on over the heel of your shoe and button up with six handmade stoneware buttons from palominoblue.etsy.com . Their earthy shade is the perfect contrast - like the crust on the lemon tart.
Spats measure about 8 1/2" circumference, unstretched, and 7" from top of ankle to bottom of lace ruffle.
Hand wash gently in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
