Desert Landscape, travel photography from Australia's Outback
Sand Dunes in Black and White
I love how the desert takes on new personalities depending on the time of day. I chose black and white film because the lack of color allowed me to focus on patterns in the sand and capturing the strange natural designs created by shadows, wind and angle of the sun. Vivid and striking, with stark contrast under the bright Australian sun, the desert appears to shift into an ocean or a colorless painting.
