This was a labor of love...gorgeous faceted Czech beads (translucent opal blue) were hand knotted on dark blue cord with sterling and fine silver (handmade) beads punctuating throughout at random intervals. In the center of the bead and knot work hangs a small PMC* (precious metal clay/fine silver) disc with a hand drawn peace sign on it. Fastens with solid sterling lobster clasp and includes a length of sterling chain for an extender. I've dangled a couple of beads (one blue and one citrine) from the end of the extender to add visual interest and sparkle. This is a true one-of-a-kind artisan piece! *PMC or precious metal clay is more pure than sterling silver. It consists of particles of pure silver mixed with an organic binder which during firing burns away and leaves 99.9% pure silver, meaning it can be hallmarked .999 (you will see sterling silver marked as .925, which means its composition is 92.5% silver and the remaining 7.5% is copper and other alloys.) PMC is also referred to as fine silver.
