This is a "must have" bombshell cocktail dress that hails from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. The dress is trimmed in the fluffiest black marabou feathers I have ever seen. This beauty will keep all eyes on you wherever you go, very booty friendly!
The dress is sleeveless with a fitted bodice. The marabou runs along the bateau style neckline. The feathers continue around to the sexy low v-shaped back neckline. The back also has two bows placed over the center back metal zipper, one at the waist and one at the bottom of the v-neckline. There are two hook-n-eye fasteners that serve to keep the zipper placket secure.
There are darts below the waist to highlight your curves perfectly. The feather trim goes from the front to the back of the dress. In the back the marabou outlines a large inverted pleat with curved bottom edges that runs from the waist all the way to the hem, this is a stunning designer detail. The feathers will sway lightly with every move you make!
I believe the dress is done in a rayon taffeta fabric. It is completely lined in a black acetate fabric. The bodice lining is lightly discolored in spots most likely due to body heat from wearing, acetate from this era is extremely sensitive to color changes from heat. This will not affect wear in any way as it affects only the lining.
There are no tags of any kind remaining in the dress but I'm sure at one time it had a designer label. It was quite commonplace for ladies of certain means to travel to Europe and remove the label of the items they purchased before flying home as to avoid paying taxes on new goods.

Condition:
The dress is in excellent previously owned condition. There are no holes, rips or stains. I have not cleaned the dress, it is sold as found and will need to be cleaned by the buyer. Color change to the lining fabric is noted above.
