It's a great Annie Hall look, with a (vintage) tie as I've shown it here, with either an oversize white shirt underneath the vest, or no shirt to show off your tats if you've got 'em.
The skirt is cut on the bias, and is gracefully full, and fully lined. The vest fastens down the front with chocolate buttons and embroidered keyhole buttonholes. It has two shallow welt pockets, small slits on the sides, and a weskit front that's cropped higher on the sides and back, and is also lined.
Midi skirts caused quite a fuss when they came out in either 1969 or 1970, as a sort of backlash (or just a change of pace) from the micro minis that were all the rage for several years before them. There aren't many of them out there (especially not from a noted sportwear designer such as Anne Klein), because they were only shown for a year or two.
I love the feminized menswear look, and this set has it in spades.
