Every spring, I eagerly await the first tulips poking through the hard ground. After a long, dark winter, I marvel at the incredible range of colors that these spring blooms display. My greatest challenge in this original design was to decide which colors to include, and which to omit.
Inspired by a neighborhood tulip patch, this piece combines flowers, foliage, butterflies and puffy clouds in a playfully artistic manner.
This hanging quilt was constructed in my smoke-free, pet-free studio and quilted on my own sewing machine.
