Bright and beautiful linen postcard of First Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida. The card depicts glimpses of red-roofed houses, palm trees, and flowers along a wide boulevard. The card was published by Tichnor Brothers and mailed in 1940 from Aunt Gustie. "Ready to go and my hair done to go to a dance to nite," she says.
Linen postcards were made from about 1930 to 1944. This card is postmarked Feb. 5, 1940. It's in very good condition--mild corner wear and the colors still bright.
