vintage storybook bunting - bambi, friends of the forest

this vintage paper bunting is made using original images (no reproductions!) from increasingly hard to find children’s books from the 60s, 70s and 80s. this particular set is made from a 1985 edition of bambi, friends of the forest Little Golden Book. It is sewn using a candy pink tape with contrasting fluro pink thread and has 9 flags in total. each flag is approx 20cm (7.8”) from top to tip and the entire length is approx 1.5m (4.9ft).

a perfect set of flags to brighten up a window, nursery, doorway or would even look wonderful fluttering in the wind at an outdoor children’s party.

p.s. please note that no good books were harmed in the making of these lovely flags. le jeune only uses the pages from books that have missing pages or had a little too much lovin’. That said, you can be assured that all flags are crinkle and stain free.
