set includes:
* large circus wagon/cage on wheels that houses the circus animals. it has a string with wooden ball attached for pulling. measures 15" long x 7" wide x 10" high. doors open at both ends. (on one end the yellow circular plastic 'latch' is broken off so a little hook needs to be added).
* 7 figures; 6 animals and 1 clown. bear, elephant, giraffe, tiger, monkey and horse. all have jointed arms and legs. their feet are flat so they can stand and the clown, monkey and bear have hooked paws so they can hang off the dowels.
* 3 wooden ladders and 4 dowels. the ladders mount on the top of the wagon for storage.
this toy has outstanding lithographic images on the wood.
the top has a sweet illustration of an old-style circus in action. the top lifts off and the underside has another image of children playing with the toy.
this is an incomplete set compared to how it originally came. 4 figures, 1 ladder, ladder connectors, trapeze, platform, tub and ball are missing.
it is well worn for sure but still utterly charming. there are plenty of pieces for a child's imagination to run free!
as this is so beautiful looking, I could see this being used as a decor piece or as a display item in a retail environment... lots of possibilities...
